DR. SIAN PROCTOR INTERVIEW

Jeffrey Morris traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to interview Dr. Sian Proctor. Dr. Proctor was the SpaceX Inspiration4 Pilot and the first Black woman to pilot a spacecraft into space. Jeffrey spoke with her about the childhood inspirations that led her to a life in science and education. She credited a love of Star Trek and Star Wars along with her father, who was an engineer working in Guam for NASA during the Apollo program, for inspiring her to follow the path to becoming an astronaut. They also discussed her diverse background that combines Geology, Aerospace, and artistic talent. We learned about how she manages to combine these talents in this interview for The Eagle Obsession.
