At the 50th anniversary celebration of Space: 1999 in Burbank, filmmaker Jeffrey Morris had the honor of presenting his documentary The Eagle Obsession to an enthusiastic audience of fans — some traveling from as far as Australia to attend.

The screening was tremendously well received, with attendees praising the film’s heartfelt exploration of the Eagle Transporter’s legacy and its enduring cultural impact. For Morris, the experience was deeply meaningful: “To share this story with the very community that has kept the Eagle alive for 50 years was an extraordinary honor.”

Adding to the occasion, series icons Nick Tate and Barbara Bain were in attendance, making the milestone celebration even more special.

The event highlighted not only the lasting influence of Space: 1999 but also the passion of a global fan community dedicated to preserving and celebrating its vision of the future.
