Important Update from Jeffrey Morris: ‘Persephone’ Novel Kickstarter Launching

To all supporters of THE EAGLE HAS LANDED documentary,

I wanted to give you a personal update, with two big pieces of news. First of all, thanks to the support and enthusiasm you all demonstrated for THE EAGLE HAS LANDED documentary, you helped bring my dream project to the attention of a lot of important people. Even though my Kickstarter campaign didn’t make its goal, we still achieved our desired result. Now, the Eagle documentary is taking off, and I’m pleased to say that we have begun production. I’ll keep sending you updates as we reach new milestones, and you can also follow along by checking the production log on our website

The next piece of news is something that’s happening right now. Another ambitious project I’ve been developing is the film PERSEPHONE, a gritty survival story about the first humans to reach the Alpha Centauri star system and Proxima-b (“Persephone”), the rugged planet under a red dwarf star where humans hope to establish a new home. But something mysterious is there waiting for them.

Through mutual friends in the space industry, I connected with international bestselling author Kevin J. Anderson (Dune, Star Wars, Saga of Seven Suns), and we worked together to expand the story of PERSEPHONE. But developing a major science fiction film takes a long time—so, Kevin took the current version of the script and used his magic to turn it into an epic SF novel. That’s what he does best.

We’re going to release that novel to a worldwide audience, so you all can read the story now, while we work on getting the film to the screen. Today, we’re launching a brand new Kickstarter for the PERSEPHONE novel.

The book is already finished and just needs another round of polishing, and we’ll be able to deliver the e-book, trade paperback, hardcover, or deluxe signed edition to you in just a few months.

We have mission patches, challenge coins, t-shirts, coffee mugs, as well as a special edition of one of my previous films and one of Kevin’s other hard-SF novels, and an original portfolio of concept art and storyboards for Persephone.

I hope you’ll support this project. Follow me to Alpha Centauri!
